der diesjährige adventliche musikalender zeigt nur konzertmitschnitte. jeweils aufgenommen am selben tag im dezember eines anderen jahres. den anfang macht die singer/songwriterin alice phoebe lou aus südafrika. der song ist mir im juli 2022 am symbiose festival in ecotopia begegenet – in ein wundersamen permakulturgarten in faoug (vd). dort hat catherine demierre, die sonst bei den groovigen, funkigen und souligen white dune singt, ein überraschgungskonzert gespielt. und was für eins. ihr letzter song war «something holy». das war echt ein ganz besonderer moment. der song ist wie jeder andere gute song ein gebe. heute sind wir bei alice phoebe lou und dem feature choir of berlin im saal 1 vom berliner funkhaus und es ist der 1. dezember 2018. dort lauschen wir, wie sie mit vielfältigem ausdruck über weibliche sexualität singt. über den moment, in dem mensch sich von seinen vergangenen traumata in bezug auf intimität und die eigene sexualität befreit und in der lage ist, den eigenen körper zu lieben, sex zu geniessen und sich dabei gut zu fühlen. wenn dir ihre musik gefällt, dann schau dir den konzertmitschnitt vom arte concert festival 2023 an.

this year's musical advent calendar features only concert recordings. each recorded on the same day of december in a different year. alice phoebe lou, a singer/songwriter from south africa is the first entry. i encountered the song in july 2022 at the symbiosis festival in ecotopia – a wondrous permaculture garden in faoug (vd). there, catherine demierre, who usually sings with the groovy, funky and soulful white dune, played a surprise concert. and what a surprise it was. «something holy» was the last song she played and it was a very special moment. like any good song, the song is a prayer. today we're with alice phoebe lou and the feature choir of berlin in hall 1 of berlin's funkhaus and it's december 1, 2018. there we listen to her as she sings about female sexuality and the moment where you break free from your past traumas with intimacy and your own sexuality, where you’re able to love your body, enjoy sex and feel good about it. if you like her music, check out the concert recording from the arte concert festival 2023.
