am 11. dezember besuchen wir das metro theatre in sydney, dort spielten 2018 explosions in the sky aus texas instrumentalen post rock. «your hand in mine» ist 2003 auf ihrem dritten albm the earth is not a cold dead place erschienen. zwei entschlossene gitarren, die sich zeitnehmend eine melodie spielen, die gleichzeitig wunderschön und herzzerreisend ist. welche assoziationen löst dieser explodierende [zum wort ‘explorierend’ ist nur ein buchstabe unterschied] himmel aus? und wessen hand spürst du dabei in deiner?

on december 11th we visit the metro theatre in sydney, where explosions in the sky from texas played instrumental post rock in 2018. «your hand in mine» was released in 2003 on their third album the earth is not a cold dead place. two determined guitars that take their time to play a melody that is both beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. what associations does this exploding [there is only one letter difference to the word 'exploring'] sky evoke? and whose hand do you feel in yours?
